Roses as a Symbol

The flowers tell more than we could.

A beautiful bouquet could change the atmosphere in some place and cause good emotions, but with that it brings untold words. The flowers often say more than we could. Since centuries they have different symbolic means, which often were changed, but there are some general messages.

The language of the flowers was most popular by the time of the Victorian age, when the “flower flirts” had been modern – by the messages from different flowers. Maybe the most popular flower was the rose and it depends from it’s color, it might tells a different message or fealings.

- The red rose is a trade mark for love; it could be a gift only when we want to say “I love you” and in no other case. There is matter of which phase of blooming is the flower. The rose leaf also means love, but it must be kept in secret.

 - The white rose is a symbol of loyalty and probity; it says “trust me”

 - The yellow rose, which often were considered to mean “hate” in fact tells “friendship”. Just a little bloomed yellow rose asks “do you still love me?” and the meaning of complete bloomed yellow rose is “please, get back to me”

 - The pink rose is a symbol of total happiness and pleasure, but also brings a message of secret love and tells “my heart is belonging to you”. A half bloomed flower tells that the love is true and the complete bloomed flower tells “believe on what I’m saying and doing”

- The combination of white and red roses means “close forever”. Probably from there is the symbol of the funeral ceremonies, when leafs are threw on the grave and this gives the message “this person will always stay in our hearts”.

There is a matter the number of the roses. One flower tells – love, 12 roses means grateful and respect, 25 for greetings, and the classical 100 or 50 rose – bouquet means “love in eternity”

 - The red color is stimulating and you must be careful with it, and the purple is calm.

 - The yellow, which is associated with the sun, get us in better mood and brings happiness and warm feelings, this is the color of communication, activity and clearness.

 - The orange is the color of optimism.

 - The green sometimes is neglected and take only for decoration in bouquets, but it’s not – this color is the nature and the calmness.

 - Blue – the color of peace.

- The pink brings happiness.

- The white means total outspoken, but if you are making a gift bouquet with white flowers, you must know that in some countries in Asia – this is a funeral color.

As an example of a message with a bouquet that must mean confident and solidarity or activity, we must choose red and yellow flowers. This is a good combination if we must give the bouquet to a man, even that by the Europe style we don’t give a bouquet to a man (with small exceptions).
